Den Chief Brandon
The Den Chief works with the Cub Scouts, Webelos Scouts and Den Leaders in the Cub Scout Pack.
By accepting the position of Den Chief, you agree to provide service and leadership to your troop. The responsibility should be fun and rewarding. This job description outlines some of the things you are expected to do while serving in this leadership role.
The Den Chief provides knowledge of games and Scout skills that many Den Leaders lack. The Den Chief is also a recruiter for the troop. This function is important because no troop can thrive without new members and most new members will come from Cub Scouting
A little history...This Pack exists because of Steve Olsen. Steve had a vision, which was to provide a Cub Scout Pack that had strong leadership and was focused on the boys. Steve asked me to be the Committee Chair and here we are today.
As Committee Chair it is my honor to serve the young men of our Pack. This Pack has a wonderful and engaged Committee and you may not know it, but without their dedication there would be no Pack. The Committee generously gives of their time and money to provide our young men with a quality program. It may be my job to encourage adults from the community and Pack to join our Committee but it does take a lot to step into those Chair positions. If anyone would like to join our Committee let me know and we can see if there is a position that would be a good fit for you and our Pack.
If there is a young man who would like to be a Cub Scout but can not because of financial inability, contact myself or one of the Committee members. We do offer help, but in return we ask the Scout and his guardian/s to help out with fund-raising and community service as a way to pay the Pack back.
